Dinners via Eet Mee are always an adventure. You never know beforehand who you will be eating with. It’s always a surprise what kind of conversations will arise. You meet people you normally never meet and hear about hobbies or interests you don’t know much about.
As an anthropology student, I especially enjoy meeting refugees. Because I have absolutely no idea of what their lives are like, other than what you hear on the news. In this way I get to meet people from a completely different culture, who experience things that are completely new to me.
Sometimes I hesitate to participate because it takes me time to cook or go to someone’s home. But I keep doing it because I love to eat, chat and listen to other people’s stories.
