I don’t need new friends, but I am curious. What drives people in my city? How do they think about social issues? I have a busy job. Besides friends and colleagues, I don’t have much time to meet other people. Through Eet Mee I can easily get in touch with others.
I see a lot of negativity on social media. For this reason, I expected to meet people with a very different take on life. During the dinners I noticed that most people are actually very involved in society. And while you eat, you have plenty of time to exchange thoughts about this.
In recent years I have volunteered for Eet Mee by helping elderly people create their profile. That is also a very nice way to visit people in their homes and start a conversation. Sometimes I have such nice conversations with passionate people who still have a lot to bring to life. That makes me very happy!
